Buildings of Local Interest (BLInts)

Nomination form

Wigan Borough has a rich and varied heritage, which is reflected in the buildings, which make up the borough, its distinctive towns and rural hinterland. The quality of our built environment is much more than listed buildings, and conservation areas. It is the larger number of unlisted historic and architecturally accomplished buildings that reinforces local distinctness and sense of place. The Council is keen to recognise this locally distinctive heritage and in doing so are preparing a local list of Buildings & Structures of architectural and historic interest, in the shape of a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) as part of the Local Development Framework.
Please complete as much of the form as possible. Additional supporting information should be kept to a minimum and only submitted if absolutely necessary. Each nomination must be supported by at least one digital photograph if possible. If you have any queries about this form, please read the Guidance Notes (.pdf, 547kb).
